Feel India February-March 2014

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) with the support of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India commenced ‘Feel India’ programme at The Ashok Hotel New Delhi to showcase the varied art forms of India to visitors.

As part of the initiative, cultural programmes were organized by Rays of Wisdom Society three days in a week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday – at the Aphitheatre in The Ashok New Delhi where eminent and young artistes such Smita Madhav( Bharatnatyam); Roopa Ravindran ( Kathak); Purva Dhanashree( Vilasini Natyam); Preetisha Kashi( Kuchipudi); Renuka Aiyer( Bharatnatyam;) Abhinaya Nagajyoti( Kuchipudi); Anwesa Mohanto( Sattreya); Lalamandalam Raman Kutty( Kathakali); Carolyna Prada( Chhau); Sadanand Biswas( Kathak); Lipsa Dash( Odissi); performed in the evenings.

The programme was formally launched by Parvez Dewan, Secretary-Tourism, Government of India and Girish Sankar, Additional Secretary-Tourism, and Managing Director of ITDC to a gala performance by Reela Hota & Group.
